What is ENG1?

The ENG1 medical certificate is issued after a comprehensive medical examination conducted by a qualified Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved doctor. This examination ensures that the individual is medically fit to perform their duties onboard a yacht.

Do I Need ENG1 to Work on Yachts?

The ENG1 certificate is necessary for several reasons:

1. Safety: Working on a yacht can involve physically demanding tasks, exposure to hazardous conditions, and long periods at sea. The ENG1 medical examination ensures that the individual is in good health and physically capable of performing their duties safely.

2. The ENG1 certificate helps fulfill these requirements.
